Check out local community centers and colleges for some ideas.ĭon't forget to take a break midday. When you get home you can eat dinner and then maybe do something outside of the house or take a hobby class or something to explore your options. If you're working 8-9 hour days, you have a couple of hours in the morning to go for a walk/run/workout and get ready. What do you do in the morning? What do you do when you get home? Yes, it sucks sometimes but I look forward to going home and doing things on my own time at the end of the day. It's great because I can be creative and analytical. Most admin jobs require answering the phone too, but I really dread talking on the phone. Just being in a large office makes me uncomfortable. I can continue to make money by doing admin work, but I really really despise the corporate world. I can't find any job unrelated to admin because that's the only experience I have. And knowing that I'll be getting a masters in one field without already having a bachelors in that field makes me feel like I'm at a disadvantage, too. I don't even know if I can get into graduate school either. But I don't have the money for prerequisite classes, nor do I have the money for graduate school. I don't have a strong passion, but of the options I have, I'm considering graduate school for a masters in something unrelated to business. Even funnier is that it says my Myers-Briggs type indicator should avoid management and admin, but that's exactly what I set myself up for. They all sound mundane, tedious, and just all around unappealing.īusiness is probably the field least suitable for me, and I didn't realize it until recently. No career in the business field interests me. I don't want to be stuck doing entry-level admin work forever. Knowing I'm unlikely to climb up the ladder because my personality isn't suited for business makes me mad. I hate having to be around so many higher-ups all the time The idea of working a 9-5pm or later job every single day for the rest of my life makes me cringe I can't stand sitting in front of a computer all day, nor can I stand filing, paperwork, etc. The office environment is insufferable to me Now I'm 23 and unemployed with no idea what to do. I majored in business because I listened to my parents.
